I remember when cbc first got the comments section they would only disable comments on things like crimes committed against children, lost children, etc Now it seems like every second article has no comments, and there doesn't appear to be any sort of logic behind it. Imo, very rarely is there a different noticeable bias

The ivory tower owners of these news organizations arent micromanaging every new story to make sure it has a specific bent Thats the kind of subtle bias most people talk about reply reply. Most people in canada view the cbc positively, and most cbc viewers are somewhat left leaning, but i think the same people have just given up on the cbc comments section at this point The crazies somehow make a hate filled dumpster fire out of every comments section, no matter how positive the story
