We used to always get the att&t cruise pkg When i get to a port i just turn on my data and take phone off airplane mode, and get charged $10 for 24 hours After talking to an at&t rep over chat, it sounds like the at&t package is only good for talk and text at sea, but if i want to go to cnn and read an article, or check the weather, i have to use carn.

However, to cover yourself, just go onto your att account and activate the foreign day pass option
Then at most you will only be charged $10 for a 24 hour period of roaming. Starting in april 2025, at&t revamped its international land and cruise packages I never used the at&t cruise package before because i was concerned about the data overages That is now gone (although they slow you to a crawl after 500mb)
I have an android phone and carnival blocks wifi. We left att about 5 years ago for t mobile, the prices are significantly better, especially for seniors and veterans Far superior overall service for world travelers. I am once again weighing the options of going with the at&t cruise internet package versus adding extra ncl internet minutes
